Miranda Richards graduated from Northwestern State University with a bachelor of arts degree in studio art, with a minor in photography.   While attending graduate school at the same university, she taught black and white photography classes to NSU students as well as students of the Louisiana School for math, science and the arts.   She also worked in the news bureau at NSU, taking photographs for news releases and school publications.   She has been operating Miranda Richards Photography since 1999.
